The Healing
===========

Written by Van Morrisson, (official title is "And The Healing Has Begun" I
believe). Peformed by Rev. Hammer and The Levellers at one of their acoustic
"Drunk In Public" gigs. Appears on the "Drunk In Public" CD, which is still
available from the offical website btw!

Transcribed by Alan Bigham, 20/11/99.

Very easy to play, I use a 032033, which I'll call Cadd9 although I can't
determine if this is the correct name. The whole song is ...

G Cadd9 D

... as far as I can tell. You could play C instead of Cadd9, and I think
it would probably sound better if you had two guitars one playing each.
It'd be a good idea to have two guitarists as well. :)

Intro
-----
G Cadd9 D a few times

Verse
-----
         G Cadd9 D
Oh we'll walk down the avenue again
          G Cadd9 D
And we'll walk down the avenue again
         G Cadd9
And we'll sing all the songs from way back when
         D G Cadd9 D
When the healing has begun

And we'll walk down the avenue in style
And we'll walk down the avenue and we'll smile
Oh when time (?) I believe , I beleive it's all worthwhile
When the healing has begun

Put on your pretty summer red dress
And you can wear, you can wear your easter bonnet and all of the rest
'Cause I, I wan't to make sweet love to you, yes yes yes yes yes
When the healing has begun

I wan't to make sweet music underneath the stars
I wan't play with the mandolin and the fiddle and two acoustic guitars
And we'll play for hours and hours and hours and hours and hours
When the healing has begun

You hear the music playing there in your soul
And the feeling in your heart as it grows, and it grows, and it grows, and it grows
It was born right there in the back street of rock and roll
And the healing has begun

(Talky bit)

I want you to put on your pretty summer red dress
You can wear, the easter bonnet and all of the rest
'Cause I, I wan't to make sweet love to you, yes yes yes yes yes
When the healing has begun

I wan't to make sweet music underneath the stars
I wan't play with the harmoica, violin, the guitars
And we'll play for hours and hours ...
When the healing has begun

I want to stay out, stay out all night long
Well in the morning I want to run out across the field
Oh and darling I beleive you know how it feels
When the healing has begun ... has begun
