Life
====

Written by The Levellers. From the B-side of 'This Garden' single.

Transcribed by Keith Dunnett (keithdunnett@yahoo.com).

This song should (and to sound right, must) be played with a capo at the
4th fret - it is actually in C#m. Here's a rough tab of the picking, but
rough is the operative word as the piece is strummed gently with this tune
being picked out in the process.

Once again, all these chords and tab assume a capo on the fourth fret!

Am G
Life... a number and a name
Am G
Don't know what to think, don't know what to say
Am G
Life... like the actor and the play
Am G
When the curtain rises, you must take to the stage

Chorus:
         Em D C Csus2
You wanna stand on the moon
Em D C Csus2
You want it all too soon
         Em D C Csus2
You must give it all away
         Em D C
It's the price that you must pay

Love... sometimes easy, sometimes strange
Like the pictures that you paint, sometimes clear and sometimes grey

Well love is like a book, with your writing on the page
But the words that you write, are not the words you wanna say

Chorus

Time... time just drifts away
Like the ending of the line
Like the parting of the way
Well time, time will never wait
Like the the thoughts all in my head
Can't be made to stay

Chorus
